King’s team attended the biggest Tag-rugby festival which was at Merchiston school on 30 May. Yes, there were 55 teams playing and we were one of the few schools competing with a mixed team, including both Luyanda and Andiswa in our team.
It was fun. The grade 6 girls came along to support us. We were happy to win 3 of the 4 games. The one we lost was against a team called Tagalicious, but then, we don’t want to make excuses, we included our reserves to give them some playing time too.
We all got a nice Spur t-shirt and some goodies, and the best was the free Spur burgers for lunch. Perhaps not, because at the end some parachute jumpers came flying down onto the oval.
Thank you, Merchiston, for the occasion, to Meneer Botha who took us there.
